Elliott Beach Rentals
First my review of the unit I stayed in - Tower 1 #1903: I chose this unit that I booked online, especially for the bright colors, spacious interior and incredible rental price. It sleeps 8, with two double beds in the bedroom, and a murphy bed and sleeper sofa in the living room. I was staying by myself, so had plenty of room, but this unit is large enough to accomodate 8 people comfortably. Being on the top floor means no one walking around above you, which is important to me. This also means you have the best views on the beach from your oceanfront balcony, which I made extensive use of during my stay.
Baywatch Resort is one of those unique properties on the Grand Strand that is self-contained and has everything anyone could possibly want right on the campus. From the ample parking in the multi-level deck, to the 3 different towers, each offering indoor pools, the middle tower offering a restaurant and general store, and the third tower offering a sports bar. During the warm months, the outdoor poolscape is very busy, and includes an outdoor pool bar FishTails, which serves icy alcoholic concoctions and several brands of beer, served by friendly waitresses. A covered bandstand is the home of a local DJ during the summer months. I have found in my past few stays at Baywatch, that you are better served by renting through Elliot Realty than actually renting from the property itself. You receive a much better quality of customer service from Elliot Realty, but this is because they manage the unit for the owner and provide one on one customer service. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the property overall as a 9. The only reason I didn't give it a full 10, is because the only drawback I found, was that during taking a shower, I would lose water pressure, as it felt like someone flushing the toilet in an adjacent unit. Otherwise, this is a wonderful property to stay in.
