The name of this uber-cool, oceanfront vacation rental is fittingly fun, because fun, fun, and more fun is the first impression everyone mentions when they experience Pink Paradise Down. The oceanfront location – the bottom of two floors – certainly scores high praise. The spacious layout – showcasing five bedrooms and three baths – sleeps nine people. Access is easy for anyone who is handicapped or simply not quite so mobile. Amenities, comparable to anything in a less private resort, includes a big, happy kitchen, high speed Internet access, a washer and dryer and four televisions – each of which has its own DVD player. (The great room TV is a to-die-for 42” wide screen.) Grill out back. If you haven’t tried local flounder and shrimp on the “barbie,” you’ve been deprived of an excellent experience. Play, or sleep, or daydream – and encourage your kids to do the same – to the sound of tumbling waves and wind off water. The very famous Cherry Grove pier is minutes away (go fishing!), as are the more commercial perks of shopping and dining and theatres of Barefoot Landing and other area attractions. And oh, if golf is your gig, bring your bag and/or caddy and get set to be challenged. Grand Strand golf courses are legendary among courses. There are more than one hundred from which to choose. Ocean views reign supreme. Enjoy all from a comfortably covered and furnished porch. Restaurants and grocery stores and many commercial establishments are literally within a shell’s throwfrom your front stoop. Check out Sea Doo rentals, banana boat rides and parasailing. Nothing’s better than the Atlantic shore at your back door.
