This charming ocean front beach house has a certain “je ne sais quoi” that is hard to capture in words. It’s bright and colorful and balanced on stilts on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. The location in North Myrtle Beach’s Cherry Grove community is as close to perfect as perfect gets. Inside and out, views are stunning – azure blue skies and water that stretches to forever. A second floor sundeck overlooks your slice of paradise. And a short, sandy pathway deposits one and all directly at the ocean’s edge. It’s a memorable vacation hideaway by every standard. Play Pen has four bedrooms and two bathrooms and comfortably provides non-smoking accommodations for a dozen of your favorite friends and family members. Amenities are up to par. There are four televisions and two DVD players. A long living area is anchored at one end by a full size kitchen. The other end has a great view of the ocean. A big, comfortable dining table sits in the middle so that, whether eating or playing games, everyone can find time and space to be together. There’s a washer and dryer. (Take advantage; pack light and wash as you go!) There’s also an outdoor shower for washing away most of the day’s sand before heading inside. The oceanfront sundeck is a great place to relax while the sun rides high. Then again, it’s a top drawer location for watching the sun rise over the ocean. You can see for miles. The Cherry Grove pier is a brisk walk from your back door. That Pier is beloved by generations of fishermen and strolling lovers and people seeking solace by soaking up wind, and views, and quiet time. All else that makes the Grand Strand grand is nicely located within minutes of family attractions, championship golf courses and restaurants serving delicious fare, nightclubs – high energy and understated. There are an abundance of water sports (an understatement), and almost everyone knows the larger Myrtle Beach area is famed for its live theatre productions. There’s not much you can’t find here to satisfy one and all in your crowd.
