Cherry Grove Fishing PierSeveral record catches have been reeled in on the Cherry Grove Pier, including the world record 1,780-pound tiger shark caught in 1964. The pier has been a landmark since it was built in the 1950s. Extending 985 feet over the ocean and with a two-story observation deck at the pier’s end, it’s a nautical destination for the whole family. Located on the pier, next to the Tackle Shop is the Driftwood Restaurant where the outside deck overlooks the saltwater aquarium and an impressive antique rod collection is found in the dining room. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Tackle, Bait and Gift Shop has all you’ll need for a day of pier fishing, including rental fishing gear, lures, cold beer and beach accessories.
